KIDS Free Dental Clinic
The KIDS free dental clinic is coordinated in conjunction with Purchase AHEC, West Kentucky Community & Technical College Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene programs and the University of Louisville School of Dentistry.
This free clinic for children has been providing diagnostic evaluation and treatment to children who do not have dental insurance or financial resources for dental care. The clinic utilizes an opportunity to showcase the skill of advanced level dental students and connects them to children in need of free dental care. The program accepts children for treatment on one Friday a month during the academic year on the West Kentucky Community & Technical College (WKCTC) campus in Paducah, KY. A local dentist serves as the clinical supervisor to University of Louisville School of Dentistry students, who are assisted by WKCTC Dental Assisting Program students.
